Aug 21, 2024, Beijing - Dubai Business Forum – China was held in Beijing recently. H.E. Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Ambassador of the UAE to the People’s Republic of China, H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, Abdulla Al Hashmi, COO of Parks & Zones of DP World GCC, Stephen Moss, Regional CEO Middle East North Africa and Türkiye of HSBC, Abdullah Belhoul, CEO of TECOM, and other senior officials, business leaders, innovators, and academics attended the event. Dr. Ling Shao, Chief Scientist of Terminus Group and President of Terminus International, was invited to discuss with Manal Al Bayat, Chief Engagement Officer of Expo City Dubai, on the session of Green Tech: Cultivating Sustainable Growth, shared perspectives on global digital economy cooperation, AI, and green tech development at the Forum.

As this year marks the 40th anniversary of China-UAE diplomatic relations, the Dubai Business Forum – China expected to stimulate bilateral strategic economic partnerships, discuss global emerging trends, and explore new horizons for business, trade, and investments between Dubai and promising markets around the world. Under the theme of ‘China, Dubai and Beyond: Igniting Global Trade and Investment,’ the event focused on key sectors, including the digital economy, green tech, artificial intelligence, healthcare, renewable energy, finance, e-commerce, and tourism and travel.
According to Dr. Ling Shao, Dubai is a vital hub for business cooperation and expansion in both regional and global markets due to its strong competitive advantages and attractive investment environment. As the leader and pioneer in China’s public realm AIoT industry, Terminus Group (short for Terminus) was the only Official Premier Partner of Expo 2020 Dubai from China, provided more than 150 AIoT-enabled smart robots, including the mascot Opti, and brought smart, green, and mobility solutions to the six-month event, serving nearly 30 million international visits and more than 100 national leaders. With the successful collaboration with Expo 2020 Dubai, Terminus had became the first 'anchor tenants' in its legacy Expo City Dubai.
Earlier this year, Terminus established its international headquarters in the center of Expo City Dubai in UAE, to further promote sustainable and innovative development with global partners.

Dr. Ling Shao further expressed that in terms of technology, AI, especially generative AI, is booming currently, and can be transferred and commercialized in Dubai, UAE, for smart upgrades and sustainable management. Starting in Dubai, Terminus has heavily facilitated the implementation and commercialization of green and smart technological solutions in the Middle East by its AI and IoT integrated technologies, LLMs, robotics, and AI CITY solutions. Terminus joined hands with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai to promote AIoT-based smart and robotics solutions for safety management. The company collaborated with Emirates to provide a mobile self check-in solution for global travelers. Terminus cooperated with Talabat Group to jointly solve the "last mile" of food delivery by its smart robots. The company and Injazat had reached a strategic partnership on sustainable digital transformation. Terminus also having set new relationships in the MENA region, Southeast Asia, Asia Pacific, Africa, and Europe, and implemented over nine thousand projects in more than one thousand cities across the globe, enabling green and digital economic development internationally and improving the well-being of mankind.
